Company History

  • 1991 - Founded by Dr. Thomas Drescher, Dr. Matthias Arnold and Dr. Falk Schneider as an IT company in Zülpich, Germany
  • 1992 - Relocation to the Jülich Technology Park in Jülich Germany
  • 1994 - Establishment of the biotechnology business area
  • 1997 - Introduction of the new product line, "fermentation systems for microbiology applications", 50 bioreactors in operation
  • 1999 - since that time DIN ISO 9001 certification completed, relocation to own building headquarters in Jülich, Germany, 300 bioreactors in operation
  • 2003 - Creation of the North American subsidiary DASGIP BioTools, LLC, Shrewsbury Massachusetts, USA
  • 2005 - DASGIP cell culture system receives the Red.Dot Design Award
  • 2006 - DASGIP wins second place in the AC2 business competition, 1,000 bioreactors in operation
  • 2007 - DASGIP introduces its bioreactor system for the development of biofuels
  • 2008 - DASGIP signs cooperation agreements with initial distribution partners in Asia, 1,600 bioreactors in operation
  • 2009 - DASGIP launches its PhotoBioreactor and the Remote Control Suite for ubiquitous online access to DASGIP bioreactor systems
  • 2010 - DASGIP wins "Innovation Award" of the Aachen region
  • 2011 - Ground breaking for new production hall
  • 2012 - DASGIP becomes an Eppendorf Company
